Hi, my name is Julien, I've decided to start this blog after I've been EXTREMELY disappointed by a company that sells furniture, Dufresne Furniture.
For those of you who don't know what this company is, it's a distribution specialist in the furniture segment of course, who is based in Manitoba and has several stores, Dufresne furniture and Ashley Furniture, all under the TDG company.
My extremely disappointing experience started one year ago, when my wife and I have bought a sofa and a love seat at one of their locations. The salesman advertised us that this sofa was from Ashley furniture and therefore, it was very good quality. Since the price and the quality of the sofa in the showroom was good, we've decided to buy it, plus they offered us a warranty that was supposed to be very good and we took it.
Less than 2 weeks after we've received the sofas, the problems started. They were extremely mediocre quality, they were compressing at a very fast rate and we started to hurt our backs sitting on it. Each time you want to have you furniture serviced, you have to call, they make an appointment for someone to come and inspect the furniture, in a week or so, the technician calls a day before to tell you during what frame of 2 hours he will be there, he comes, makes his inspections, customer service calls you back, advising you what course of action they will take (you don't have to agree with them, those guys hold the absolute truth), they will schedule for someone to come when the new parts will be there in 2-3 weeks from then, so during all this time, you are left with a defective product that you don't have a choice to use.
We had to repeat that process 6 times, since the product was constantly defective and SURPRISE!!!!! The technicians who came explained that they are using mediocre materials in the sofas, so that the manufacturing companies would have a low cost to the production of these units, EXACTLY the opposite of what the salesman was telling us!
I don't want to write for too long here, please call me to have more details, but be aware that Dufresne Furniture is a lying company, that doesn't want anything to do with their customers after they sold their stuff.
My advice is NEVER SHOP AT DUFRESNE FURNITURE. Like the prime minister of Newfoundland did when he was pissed off with Stephen Harper, he started a campaign Vote ABC (Anything But Conservative), I'm starting the Buy ABDF (Anything But Dufresne Furniture (please include Ashley Furniture)) Spread the good news, this is the worst company with the worst lying arrogant customer service I've ever seen in my entire life!
